I had an interesting thought yesterday on my way home from work. I was just thinking back on my life throughout high school and up until I met Adam. All the fun times I could reflect back on were the times that i was just goofing off with my girls. I may have been known as someone who was prettymuch always dating someone. I regret being that way to a certain extent. I mean, it led me to Adam and I wouldn't take it back.. but I wish I would have valued time with my friends when I had it the way it was.. and just spent time with them more rather than wasted my time dating some the guys who wasted that time. I came across this quote.. maybe this is what got me thinking.
I really did luck out on my the friends I've made. I have been lucky enough to keep most of my friends that I've had for 21.. 15.. 10...5... or however many years I've known them! I've been lucky enough to have friends that are such good people.. have such a great head on their shoulders... that they've kept me in line! They helped me stay on the right track and helped me in some of the most trying times of my life so far. I don't know what I did to be so lucky, but I am so grateful for them being in my life. I think the fact that most of them are all serving missions right now.. makes me realize what I've been missing. Haha not that I didn't know how awesome they are, but distance really does make the heart grow fonder. I'm so excited to see where my missionary girls end up in life! To see who they end up marrying down the road.. and to have kids around the same time as them so that they can be friends! Just like we talked about when we were 5 years old. Karlie was my next door neighbor when I was born, so we've literally been friends all our lives. Her family moved when we were about 5 years old. I don't know how we stayed friends. I mean, she didn't move far.. but we really must have already had a strong friendship for us to be the ones who kept our friendship going. It's not like our parents were buddy buddy or anything.. so they didn't force it. It was just us. And we stayed friends.. through elementary school.. junior high.. (not too many people can say that).. high school.. and now.
So, for anyone reading this who is still hanging out with friends.. whether you're in high school.. or junior high.. or whatever the case may be.. enjoy your time with your friends because it'll be limited before you know it! Don't waste your time dating someone who's just wasting your time and is just "for fun."
Rant done.

Well, It's almost been 2 months since I updated, so here are a few things that have happened the past few weeks!
My Sister in Law Jodi & my brother Clint had their baby!
I don't have many pictures of him, but here's one of him and Preslee
Preslee looks like such a chunk next to him! But my side of the family now has 7 grandkids! So that's fun! Plus, we still live at my parents house along with my sister and her growing family. She has 3 kids now all 5 & under. Fun stuff. Haha there's always something going on around the house it seems like.
What else has happened? Well, Adam finally took his GMAT! He got a 640 so that's exciting and he's now applying for ASU fall 2014 semester. I'm definitely REALLY excited to have his schooling overwith. He's working a lot of overtime right now as well. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze some overtime in here pretty quick at my job as well. Working at Arizona Propane, the winter seasons get really busy from all the snowbirds at the trailer parks and people use the propane to heat their residents.. so during the winter they are more lenient with overtime. We could definitely use the extra money! Hopefully we'll end up in a house of our own in the next couple years.
As many of you know, I have a few friends that are on missions right now since they lowered the age for sisters to go on missions. 4 of my friends are on missions right now. Courtney has his her 6 month mark, so that's pretty cool and crazy! It seems like she just left. Then Summer & Karlie will be hitting their 6 month mark here in October. And as for London, she has been out for about 2 months. BUT time has FLOWN for my other friends and I know it will for her as well! I remember always hearing that.. at least for elders.. the 2nd year goes by the fastest.. so being that sisters only serve 18 months.. they're gonna be home before they know it! It's crazy!
Me and Adam got a new calling at church.
We are...... NURSERY LEADERS. It's really fun. I like it. When we heard that we were getting a calling, Adam kept saying.. "Anything but nursery.." haha and I kind of wanted nursery... and here we are! Adam was pleasantly surprised though and he likes the calling after all. Plus, who doesn't like snack time while you're at church for 3 hours?
As for now, we are still trying to save up money to get a house of our own and are just focusing on that and getting Adam applied for ASU. So that's our life as of now. Till next time..

Well, I suppose it's time for an update. To start, July 4th was pretty relaxed. We actually didn't even end up BBQing with the rest of America. Haha we ended up hanging out with our families, but having pizza instead. The Anberlin concert was great as expected! The picture I got of us SUCKS... but hey, it's better than nothing! It's documentation showing we actually made it! haha we did also get to visit with Scott & Monica for like an hour. Haha it was really short, but still worth it! I didn't get any pictures.. so you'll just have to believe me. ;) Having the long weekend off was really nice for sure. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my passport that weekend because they never called me back! Probably because it's a federal holiday, but still. I don't know when that will happen, but hopefully I can find some time to do that so we can go somewhere exciting someday! I finally got to hold my new niece, Preslee! The same day we went to the concert actually! YAY sickness for finally leaving me!
Clint & Jodi are due to have their baby boy at the end of this month too,so we'll have a couple of babies in the fam! It's always interesting to see who the babies turn out looking like the most! We'll see who they looks like more-so when they get older.
Ummm... I got highlights! I'm slowly going back blonde. I have been brunette for about 3 or 4 months maybe? Haha it was just for fun basically. Next, back to blonde and then maybe someday I'll chop it off. BUT that wont be for a while. haha
What else is new? I got to go to Maria's baby shower this past weekend! It was fun to go and visit with some of the girls. It's funny how fast things happen! As soon as you get married.. everyone's wondering when you are going to have kids.
Upcoming events.. well, Adam finally signed up for the day he will be taking his GMAT. So that's exciting! I'm definitely excited to get that over with so we can find out what we will be doing for Adams schooling. I'm excited to see what life will bring us after that! He probably wont be going back to school until fall 2014 though. Well, other than that, life's great! Nothing really new or big to share. Until next time..

Well.. Today marks two years from the day me and Adam had our
first kiss. Yep.. I'm THAT girl that knows random dates like that. It seems like we have known each other forever
already. Every 4th of July will bring those memories back. We have been
officially married for 6 months and 20 days. It's crazy how time flies. This picture is the oldest picture I have of us.. and it was a couple months after our first kiss.. but it's still good memories. (Yep, it's a screenshot of a picture I had on my facebook.) This
4th of July we plan on spending time with our families.. probably BBQing like
the rest of America. It's kind of weird that people like BBQing this time of
year.. especially when its like 120 degrees outside. People are weird. My work
is closed the 4th & 5th so it'll be nice to have some time off! We are
planning on driving to Tucson tomorrow, July 3rd for the Anberlin concert!
Super excited about this. I have been going on and on to Adam about how great
they are in concert. This is a concert for their acoustic tour.. so I'm
guessing it will probably be more relaxed than their concerts that I was
referring to. Don't get me wrong.. I know they'll be great! It just wont be as
crazy fun as it normally is when you get to jump around and scream your lungs
out. Concerts are great. Anberlin is by FAR the best band I've seen play.. they
sound so good live and they are so fun to go to..especially if you are willing
to go crazy and jump around and sing your heart out. That's what makes it so
great. I'm definitely really excited for tomorrow night! We also plan on
visiting our friends Scott & Monica while we are up there. We haven't been
up to visit them yet so I'm excited for it all. Hopefully I'll get to take some
pictures while we are there and I can update about it later. On friday for my day off.. I plan on getting some stuff done around the house.. as well as FINALLY getting my passport. We have been wanting to go to Mexico for a while but we haven't been able to because I don't have a passport. So hopefully I'll have a chance to get that done.
My sister had her baby a couple weeks ago.
She named her Preslee Belle Harker. She's super quiet compared to some other babies I'd say.
She sleeps prettymuch ALL day. That's a newborn for ya! I have been battling a
cold/sinus infection/allergies this WHOLE YEAR so I haven't even gotten to hold
her yet. It's really weird because this is how it always is when there is a
baby born into my family. I'm ALWAYS sick so I can never hold them when they
are born. I guess its Gods way of telling me I don't need a baby right now. WHO
KNOWS. Maybe some day I'll be able to update saying I got to hold her. I don't
know what it is this year. I don't think I've ever had a cold this long in my
life. Something is wrong with me. Along with this.. I got bitten by a
spider or something within the last month. THAT'S been fun. I have a really
pretty beauty mark on my leg now. I'll spare you the damage to your eyes and
leave it to your imagination.
What else is new? Well... I think I
mentioned how my work moved locations up to a building in Fountain Hills. If
not.. then ya. It happened. Haha anyways.. my point is.. our office building
backs right up to miles and miles of desert. Yesterday we had a fun little
encounter with a rattlesnake. One of our tech guys was going outside to get into a closet that was a few feet away from the exit and heard this guy rattling away. It was pretty crazy how close it was to getting into the office. It was sitting right up against the glass by the door. Could of easily slid its way in while someone walked in or out.. Or worse.. BIT someone. A bunch of my coworkers and myself were all watching the snake. Since it was just on the other side of the glass.. we could get pretty close and see it really well. This was taken with my phone through the glass so it's not the greatest quality. But you get the idea. The snake wasn't that big. It was maybe like 2.5 ft long. It was a young one. We ended up calling the fire department to remove it. They just took the snake out to the desert like right behind our building. Not so comforting to me... but we'll see if the snake shows up again. But anyways.. so now our office is really careful when going in and out of the office to be sure we don't get bitten.
Recently I've been watching "The Lying Game" on Netflix. It's suppose to take place in Phoenix. It's about these two girls who are identical twins. They were separated at birth. One went to a wealthy family and the other ended up in with a crazy foster family. It's pretty addicting. Adam says I should find another hobby rather than finding shows on Netflix to watch. I've been thinking about making & selling crafts. I don't know how successful it'd be so I'm kind of hesitant. It's just a thought for now.. But if I do decide to do it.. I'm thinking I'd probably just make a different blog to advertise. We'll see. I'll keep updated.

It's crazy how much life has changed in the past couple of years. I went from being single and hanging out with my friends all the time and going to parties and staying up late to being married and getting to bed earlier than I ever have. Don't get me wrong, I love being married. It's just interesting how things change and aren't appealing after a while. A lot of my friends are either on missions or going on missions. I never would have imagined some of them would even have the desire to to go on a mission. But then again, things change. Courtney has been out since March. Karlie has been out on her mission since mid April. And then Summer has been out since the end of April. I love seeing how happy they are out there! Reading their e-mail updates every week are a nice break from work for sure!
My sister is due to have her baby prettymuch any day now. It's crazy, but exciting! It should be interesting having a newborn in the house! Yes.. for those who don't know, we have 3 families living in my parents house including me and Adam,. My sister and her Husband and 2 boys, and my parents. After this baby is born, we will have more people in the house than we did before anyone was married.
This last weekend, while Adam was studying, I went riding with my neice, Kaydence and my sister in law, Chandra. It was hecka hot outside, but it was still way fun. We finished the day swimming back at my parents house, which was nice and refreshing.

I don't know if I posted about this or not, but we got called in our ward as Youth Conference Specialists. Meaning we were to help plan and coordinate the youth conference which was held a couple weeks ago on a trip to Havasupai. Although, since I've been battling a cold, we decided to skip out on the 10 mile hike. It's such a beautiful place and I'm kind of bummed that we missed out on the pretty falls.
Recently, I've been doing hair for friends a bit more than I use to. Which is nice because that was my goal.. to do hair on the side so that when we do have kids I still have some way to make money if needed. Plus, then I have the knowledge to do our whole families hair. I've keep getting these crafty ideas that I want to try out. Thanks Pinterest! Haha I think if I had more time and money.. I would definitely be crafting it up! But hey, If you craft to sell.. then it makes it worth it. Which I've been thinking of pursuing also. It would be so much easier if we lived in our own house. But.. I don't see that happening right away. Adam has been studying a lot for his GMAT.. then he'll be applying for schools! So hopefully we can get accepted to somewhere with a good reputation so we can have that advantage. If not.. I'm totally ok with staying here and him going to ASU. Haha Either way.. I'd go with whatever is best for us financially.. but ya. That's life. As for me.. I've just been working. And in my free time.. soaking up the sun or watching my shows on netflix. I finished all the episodes on there for the Secret Life of the American Teenager. I'm now back to finishing 90210.. which honestly.. I like a lot better. I definitely miss Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries, though. Can't wait till more episodes are on Netflix. I'm just sort of OCD about finishing shows. Anyway.. enough of my rambling. Until next time..

Welp, It's official. I've definitely been slacking off on updating my blog! Not a whole lot is new with me.. so I guess that may be why I haven't felt the need to update. I'm officially a BRUNETTE now. It was super weird at first and I didn't really like it that much at first, but i like it more and more every day. It was a process though, I must say. I went through 2.. or maybe 3 different colors before I got it to how I have it right now. The first time I did it... it wasn't quite as dark as I wanted it. But, here's how it turned out the first time. (sorry for the crappy phone pictures)
The second time, It turned out better, but it faded too quickly and ended up lighter than I wanted it still. Even though we used a filler!! Finally, the 3rd time I decided to go darker than I wanted it so that it would end up the color I wanted it to be when it faded. The first week or so.. it looked black. Haha not even exaggerating. It's still pretty dark, but you can actually see brown in it now... after like 2 or 3 weeks. I'm at work right now as I'm updating, so I don't have all my pictures with me. I do have one picture that is on my phone from the Arabian Horse show this year when my hair was basically black. But, the picture is sick nasty.. so just ignore my face. ;) This is a picture of me and my niece, Halle. Me and my mom brought her with us to the horse show. It was a fun girls day. Adam worked that morning and didn't really care to go to the horse show after he was off... so we went without him.
It was a horse kind of month I guess, because Lehi days was in February too!
My birthday was a couple weeks ago. It was pretty laid back on my birthday. Just had dinner with my family and adams parents came over too and we just hang out basically. The following weekend, me and Adam went to Red Lobster for my birthday to celebrate with just us two. Right around march seems like it is just the birthday month. So many people have birthdays in march.
Prettymuch since then, life has been pretty laid back. I have been trying to do hair for people a little bit more. So, that is coming along a little bit. The past few weeks, me and my husband have been watching "The Bible" on the history channel every Sunday leading up to yesterdays finale for Easter. I liked the show overall, but in some ways I didn't like it and it wasn't how I felt it should have been portrayed. In their version of the story, the characters who were suppose to be angels seemed almost to be a dark character.
When, in reality.. it should be a wholesome and happy character. When I imagine an angel, I don't imagine them looking that way. Every time they have been described in the Scriptures have been wearing white and are very heavenly beings. I don't see that there. That, and how some of the characters acted almost seemed prideful and weird. Especially Moses. I didn't like his character specifically for that reason. I don't know.. I just didn't feel like it was done as well as it could have been. It wasn't made by the LDS church though, so that could be why. I imagine the characters to be different for that reason, I guess. It was interesting reading an article based on the actor that played Jesus, though. I can't find the article to referance, but it was advertised on Yahoo's web homepage. Apparently in the scene where Jesus was hung on the cross, the man who played Jesus said it was "excruciating" being up on the cross and filming it, although he obviously wasn't REALLY nailed to the cross. I like how they used ropes to strap his arms to the sides of the cross too. I don't remember hearing about that in the real Bible. Tricky Tricky!
You can't see it very well, but this is the best picture I could find of it. Another funny thing that me and Adam noticed was that in the show, they showed them about to nail his feet to the cross.. but they were showing that the nail was being put into his ankles. Then later when he had died and was in the tomb, it shoes that it was on the top of his foot, not his ankle. NICE WORK. They also said that they had a "snake man" who was helping them on the set to get rid of all the snakes before they filmed to keep people from getting bitten. They had to remove..I don't remember exactly how many.. but at least 20 snakes that were around this scene.. by the crosses. Interesting how it worked out that way. I probably sound really critical, of the show, but hey.. it's just how I saw the show. Overall, it was still a touching story and made me want to cry. The LDS versions I've seen have gotten me more choked up, but it was definitely nice to see it portrayed with today's technology and effects. I don't think I would ever PAY to own it, but it was nice to see it at least for one time for free.
Another show that we have kind of been watching since the Bible started is "Vikings," which has been showing right after "The Bible" and I don't like it as much as Adam does. I don't really have a big opinion on it, but maybe it's just a man show. We use to watch "The Walking Dead" before "The Bible" came on. We missed the finale yesterday too. That show.. for those people who haven't seen it.. you have to watch it from the beginning so you understand the story line. It's not just zombies ripping people apart. Sometimes the show is kind of cheesy in that way, but they warm you up to it if you watch it from the beginning. I wouldn't want my future children watching it though. I would say it's definitely for mature audiences. It would probably give me bad dreams if i were still really young.
What else is new? Well, I got a new job! It was back in February, but I think that's still recent. I've just been slacking off on updates.. So I'm filling in the blanks. I'm currently working at Arizona Propane as an Accounts Receivable Data Entry Clerk. It's nice though, because it's closer than my other job (for now- I'll explain later).. and pays better.. etc. I really did like my job at Overson, but with being a newlywed and trying to save up for a house.. I needed something that could help out a little bit more. The only thing that kind of sucks is that right after I started working here, I came to find out that they are relocating... to Fountain Hills. Which kind of sucks.. but only adds like 5-10 min to my driving to work in the morning. Hopefully it will be OK in the long run, but I'm not too worried about it.
Me and Adam are trying to find him a new car now which we are trying to get before June. So, hopefully we can find something nice and affordable. I'm definitely excited to be on our own and have a house sometime hopefully in the near future. I'm excited to be a real wife and decorate the house and stuff. You know.. wifey stuff. I'm excited to be organized with everything, too. In my head.. I sort of imagine myself being kind of OCD about things, but we'll see how it works out. You never know until you're there, I guess.
Well, I think that's all I have to share for now. I will update later when I feel like I have more, I guess.

Well, WE'RE MARRIED! We've been married for over a month now. Life is going great for us. Right now we are living at my parents house. They have a few extra bedrooms so we thought we would stay there and save up some money. I will admit, it's kind of nice having someone to come home to since Adam works later than I do. I would probably have to take up some wife-like hobbies like crafting or something. OR... there's netflix. Haha I'm sure after watching tv all the time, I will go NUTS so I'm glad this isn't the case and I have a family to come home to. Although, I am very excited to get our own house. I think that will make it really seem like we're married. Right now, it doesn't feel that different besides the obvious.. being together every night. Having our own house will make a big difference I'm sure.
So, last night I woke up at like 4am and I was wide awake and couldn't go back to sleep for what seemed like forever. After a few times of going to the bathroom to see if that would help, Adam asked me if I was doing ok and pulls me in and cuddles with me. Five minutes later.. I'm dead asleep and slept so good the rest of the night. I'm so glad that he's there for me not only so I could go back to sleep, but that we're together FOREVER. No. Matter. What. Oh, marriage is great. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!
Now, the Temple pictures after we were married.......
I don't know where Candice was for these pictures.. but here are ALMOST all of the bridesmaids
Ok, So now for the details.. The wedding day was amazing. The temple is the best thing out there. I wish everyone knew how amazing it is. It's like nothing else. We got married at 12:00pm on 12/12/12. Yep, we just decided to keep going with that number. It worked out. ;) I got emotional in the temple especially because of everyone that came to support us. It was such a happy and spiritual experience.. I was so overwhelmed. I felt like I kept it all together until the ceremony was done and I got to hug everyone as they left the room. Then, I was a crybaby. You know that kind of cry where you are gasping for air cuz you can't breathe? Almost like you are hiccup-twitching while you cry? Yep, that's how it went. But it's fine. I loved it. Haha. I was especially lucky to have some of my close friends in there. A couple of my friends are already married so they were able to be in the temple. Then there were friends who had completed their missions and then there was my best friend Karlie who just barely got her mission call. She went through the temple just in time to go to my wedding. It was the best. I'm so grateful she was able to be there. In most cases, you can prettymuch expect that one of the girls wont see the other person get married cuz they wouldn't have been through the temple yet, but it worked out perfectly. Such a blessing.
A couple of my friends were also there who are already married were able to be there- my friend Candice and Monica! I'm so excited for my other friends to be able to experience the temple and be sealed to their husbands. Me and Adam haven't had the chance to go back yet, but I really want to and experience that again. I'm sure it won't be as special as last time since we were sealed for us. Next time it will be for someone else, but we can reflect back on it. I'm definitely looking forward to it if we can ever find the time to go. Adam works a lot right now so we can save up money quicker. He's been doing a lot of overtime on top of his long shifts. I guess it's about time I get a night job. I probably will once we get a house, or if I get bored.
Ok, so now to fill all you guys in on life the last month. To start, the wedding was AMAZING and it went by so fast. When I talk to people about their weddings, a lot of people seem to always say how being in the line forever SUCKS. I, however thought it went by really quickly and wasn't hard at all. I had plenty of energy and had an amazing time at our reception. It was just as I always hoped it would be. Everything went smoothly and I wouldn't have changed anything.
I had some gorgeous bridesmades! I love them all so much! My sister was the maid of honor. Originally, she had the same skirt as all the rest of the girls, but when we ordered them, My friend sejal (who was the first to order her skirt) got jewed out of getting hers somehow. Everyone elses skirts shipped except hers and they kept recharging her for her skirt several times. Eventually, we came to the conclusion that my sister should have had something different anyways since she is the maid of honor.
She came up with the idea to make her own skirt which was similar to the skirts we ordered, except just a little different. It turned out great along with everything else my sister helped out with. She did so much for the wedding planning and things pertaining to the wedding. I could probably never make it up to her. She even made our cake! How crazy is that? Her first wedding cake, but it turned out GREAT and she should probably go pro. Haha she's such a mom and creative anyways so she comes up with some amazing stuff. Our photographer who did all of our pictures; engagements and wedding pictures, was actually my sister in law, Chandra Goodman. She is one amazing woman as well. She has been going through chemotherapy and was still willing to help us out with everything.
She's pretty awesome, so be sure to check her blog out by clicking on her name. It will lead you straight to her photography information. We had so much help from family and friends with everything. That includes preparation, bridal shower, bachelorette party, dress alterations, catering, bouquets, boutineers, and probably so much more. I'm so grateful for amazing friends and family who have helped us out and continue to help and support us.
And, of course we couldn't do it without our parents. My mom designed all of the bouquets and boutineers. She did great as well!. Our parents brought us here and raised us to be who we are today. Then we met.. fell in love.. and now we're married. Couldn't do it without them. I'm so grateful and proud to be part of Adams family now. I look forward family events with our families and someday our own family.
Anyways, enough of my ranting on that.. here's some of the pictures that were taken at the reception of the set up as well as the groomsmen..
We got a coupon from David's Bridal for shutterfly that we ended up using for our guest sign in book.We just printed engagement pictures into the pages of the book and had people sign on the borders. It turned out pretty nice.
This is the set up for the picture slideshow which my sister ALSO put together. And.. my grandparents taking a rest watching the video. It just so happens that in the picture that is showing on the screen.. was taken while we were visiting them in Pinetop. I just thought it was convenient that it was taken on that slide.
The lady who did the alterations on my wedding dress also has a catering company, so she did our catering. The food and my dress turned out great as well!
Yet another couple of my family members who helped out.. my brother Brandon and his wife Jennifer were willing to help us out with DJing. I put the playlist together and they just coordinated the music and told were the voice on the microphone to tell everyone when things were happening. They did great.
Then, came the cake cutting time.. I made sure ahead of time to be very clear that I wanted our cake cutting and feeding experience to be CLEAN. We did well. :)
I am so grateful for my dad and all he has done for me. He is such an amazing father and he probably doesn't understand how much I appreciate him and all he has done for me growing up. I look up to him so much and I hope I can someday be as awesome of a parent as him and my mother have been to me.
I was pleasantly surprised on how many people danced during the open dancing part of our reception. That's something I love about receptions.. not just mine.. any reception.. it almost freshens up the love that couples have between each other. If it were me.. already married.. dancing with Adam at someones reception, I would probably be reflecting back at our first dance. It's definitely something I love witnessing at receptions.
The kids seemed to have fun as well. I knew that my neices and nephews love to dance to the song from Madagascar titled "I like to move it move it" So we made sure to play that for the kids. It was a hit.
For the bouquet toss, my first throw ended up hitting the ceiling, but the 2nd throw was successful. Haha my best friend Karlie ended up catching it. Which, it's a good thing that catching the bouquet doesn't actually mean you are the next to get married.. cuz Karlie still has to serve her 18 month mission. Meaning.. all you girls who failed to catch it.. you have at least 18 more months. Haha but, it's not true cuz my good friend London Heywood is engaged now!
The garter toss was pretty interesting. I don't know where all of Adam's friends were for this, but there was like 3 guys who were even there to try and catch the garter.
Yet, it was still eventful..
One of our friends, Matt Gallego ended up catching the garter.
Not only did we celebrate our marriage that day.. but also my brother Tanner's birthday. We felt bad that we chose his day for our own, but we did take the time to have everyone at the reception sing to him.
I think he enjoyed the attention.
Then, my friend Sejal's brother Shan ended up spilling the water. The camera girl happened to be there to catch the moment. It was convenient.
And then.. we were off.
While we were there, we did a lot of walking. It was really windy while we were there too, which made the weather seem that much colder.
We ended up walking over to the Stratosphere which seemed like the LONGEST walk ever in the cold wind.
On the way over there, we stopped to check out the roller coasters at Circus Circus. We planned on going to ride the rides on the stratosphere, so we wanted to warm ourselves up for the crazy ride we were about to go on at the stratosphere. We ended up riding one inside the Adventuredome in Circus Circus which was fun!
When we finally got to the stratosphere.. I was freaking scared for my life to go on the rollercoasters. up there. It is WAY up there. To give you a better idea, here are some pictures we took inside the top of the Stratosphere which were right by the roller coasters..
The ride we ended up riding was like a teeter-totter kind of motion. It hung over the edge of the TOP of the building. While you ride this ride, you can't see the end of the tracks when you are looking over the edge of the building, or the edge of the building for that matter.
I was really happy to be safe and done with that ride.
While we were in Vegas, we also visited the Wooden Spoon Buffet. It was inside the Cosmopolitan. We were told by Adams brother, Trevor that it was really good and that we should try it. It was worth it for sure. Our favorite thing there was the Angry Mac & Cheese. It's no ordinary Mac&Chs. It's great.. look it up on pinterest or something. It's on my list of things to try and make. Other than that, we just did a lot of sight seeing and walking around and stuff. It was really fun. It will be nice to be able to go back there sometime in the future too and reflect back especially since we picked somewhere close!
Since then, we have been living at my parents house. Married life is going great! I work full time right now as well as Adam. He works a lot more hours though, collecting overtime. I picked such an amazing hard working handsome man! I'm so lucky.
Since our marriage, a lot of my friends and family have been taking some big steps in their lives as well. To start in order.. London got engaged! I'm so excited for them and that I have gotten to witness them grow into almost being married! I know of someone who got pregnant that I'm really excited for, but won't reveal the name yet because they haven't told everyone yet. Next person would have to be my sister! She surprised us all and ended up telling us she has been pregnant since before halloween! She is one the skinniest and petite people ever so we were all SUPER surprised that she was able to keep it from us for so long. She told us AFTER she already knew what she was having. She's having a girl! They have 2 boys, so it's pretty exciting. This is what we didn't notice at our wedding somehow.
She sucked in her belly for the wedding so that no one would know. Then, at home just wore loose clothing and sweatshirts so no one would notice. It's funny because a while before she told us that she was pregnant, I was at the park with my family.. I think it was on New Yrs Eve.. and Rachel brought up this story: a while back when I was at the park with Rachel, we were swinging on the swings and she made a comment saying something about how she wondered if it were bad to swing while being pregnant like it is to be on a roller coaster. She then stopped swinging. I didn't think about it at all being a clue to anything. Not too long after that, she revealed she was pregnant. I'm not sure if it was with Wyatt or Keaton. But anyways.. so while we are there this time, she brought it up.. and yet again stopped swinging. And I didn't notice AGAIN. It's funny, but I'm really excited for her and her family to grow once again! I'm excited to experience that some day. It's funny how almost right after you get married, everyone starts asking you if you are pregnant or have a bun in the oven. Well.. just to let you all know, we probably wont be shooting to have any kids at least till we have our own house. Who knows when that will be.
Anyways, the next exciting thing that has come up with friends and family is that my good friend Summer Allen got her mission call! She opened it last night and Reports to St. George, UT April 24 to serve in the visitors center for 18 months. I kind of thought she would go in the states somewhere.. just wasn't sure where. It's crazy.. all these girls going on missions now! I know another person who is getting their call sometime in the next few days as well, but I don't know if it's a secret, so I wont say yet. I'm so happy and proud of my friends for where they are all at in their lives. They're doing so well and I can't wait to see what the future holds for everyone! It's crazy that we're all where we are at. We all use to be the group of girls that you ALWAYS saw together all the time at things.. now, we're all moving on and growing up. I love my family and friends and all they do for me and that they brought me here to where I am today, MARRIED to the best man in the world!
