So, wedding plans are coming along pretty nice and quick! We've had a lot of help from my family. Mainly my sister Rachel! She's basically my secretary. That's what you get MAID OF HONOR! ;) Yeah, so we had the temple and the reception booked before we were officially engaged. We don't waste any time. Ha, well.. yeah.. we haven't been wasting time planning! We'll leave it at that. We got our bridesmaid outfits figured out and my dress is currently getting alterations. I'm broke now, but its fine. I wanna look good! We have our invitations made and are waiting to have a complete list to send them out to. All we have left to do is find the groomsmen ties, my shoes, and Adam has to have his tux figured out! Plus other little things here and there. We have less than 7 weeks until we are married! It's comin fast! We have most of the planning out of the way already and we still have over 1 month left! We're still deciding where we want to go for our honeymoon. At first we were thinking of going on a cruise since neither of us had been before. Now we're thinking of a nice hotel in vegas. So we'll see! Pretty exciting:)

What else is new? Well, me and Adam went to the scottsdale polo match at westworld this past weekend! That was something different! Neither of us had been to a polo match. It was on my bucket list and then I kept hearing about it on the radio and so we decided to go! We decided that we would both dress in polo shirts too! I didn't have one.. so I went the Epic thrift store by my house and found a cheap one. It was pretty ugly, not going to lie. But I dont know if I would ever wear a polo unless it were for something like that. So maybe if I go golfing or something, I'll use it again. Anyway, so Adam works in Scottsdale so I met him out there. While i was waiting for him to get off work, I got us some Jamba Juice and then we went to the match! It was interesting to see all the people in dresses and stuff. It was held at the same place that I go to the Arabian Horse Show every year too. There was a car show there as well as you can see. I felt like it was one of those things that I'm happy we went and experienced, but unless you're betting on winners, drinking, or rich.. I don't see the point of going to them all the time. BUT I got to check that off my bucket list, so that's happy!
The past general conference announced the new ages of serving a mission age! 18 for guys, 19 for girls! So, there are a lot of girls that are seriously talking about going on a mission now! One of them being one of my best friends, Karlie! She's always wanted to serve a mission and so now she's workin on getting ready to go! It's pretty weird.. I'm getting married.. and she's going on a mission sometime after that. Guys we use to hang out with in high school are starting to get home from missions.. it'll be interesting to see how things pan out for people we know! Then, with the election.. I won't even go into it.. but yeah. That'll be interesting either way! Life's changing!

I CAN'T WAIT TO BE MARRIED! Oh, love.

Looking back at my last post.. I ended with "who knows, maybe I'll be next!" Well, guess what? I'M ENGAGED! Ok, so I kinda knew it was coming. So here's the story.. It may seem like we have moved kind of fast cosidering we have only been dating again for...like 3 weeks, but it's not like that. We have technically been dating off and on since July 2011. That's pretty long for a mormon, right? Haha but anyways.. so here's how it happened..
So, we have been basically planning things for a couple weeks now, we just hadn't made it official with a ring yet. I had even showed him what ring i wanted and he had already arranged to have it resized, but i didnt know when he was going to have it back. So a couple weeks ago, Adam scratched his eye playing basketball and so he couldn't wear one of his contacts for a while until his eye healed.  That's the explanation for his eyepatch picture. Haha yes, he DROVE like that. Slightly scary experience. So he told me he had an awesome date idea for when his eye was healed. I would ask questions about it every now and then to try and figure out what it was and I couldn't ever really get it out of him, but he did say that he WASN'T going to propose on the date. So we go on this date on friday.. and he ends up taking me to the Scottsdale Gun Club which is a shooting range with some crazy guns you can rent and shoot. It was way fun!
Then afterwards, we were going to go to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. So we are on our way back into town and he made sure to clarify that the rest of the date was considered a whole separate date and that it was not to be associated with the rest of the date. Haha and then he told me that we were going on a short romantic walk before dinner. So I'm thinkin "ook.. thats kinda obvious, but we'll see!" Then I remembered noticing that he had been texting my sister, but I didn't see what they had been saying. And keep in mind that I knew that the proposal was coming up soon since the ring was going to be done any day. I did my research and found out how long it took for it to be done. (I'm too impatient to wait it out)
So every night I would analyze whether or not it were possible for him to propose that night. I knew it was coming, so you can't really blame me right? Anyways, so we ended up going to the Rapieran Reserve. We had been there before a couple of times. It's a place in gilbert that has a lake and some trails you can walk around. I remember going there with him one time a long time ago.. That's what this picture with him in the blue shirt is from. Almost a year earlier! WEIRD coincidence. Anyways.. That night we were walking around and went off on this trail that was lit up a little bit and went to a top of a hill where a gazebo was. It kind of overlooked the area and it was a nice romantic little area. I remember thinking that it was a good place for someone to propose, but I NEVER told Adam that I thought that.
So here we are, almost a year later, going off on the same trail up the same spot, and we reach the top and it was all decorated with candles, roses, starburst, and sparkling cider. It was kind of funny too, because when we were walking up the trail, I saw someone sitting facing away from the trail, curled up in a ball. I knew it was my sister, but I didn't say anything cuz I didn't want to ruin the moment. So I kept walking and made it up to this beautiful area! It prettymuch just happened right away after that. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes. haha even though I knew what was going on, I couldn't ask for more! I've got the most amazing fiance I could ever ask for. And I'm so happy I'm finally engaged to this sexy man! I LOVE YOU ADAM BROWN! I cannot wait to spend forever with you! 12/12/12.
